As a member, I commit to supporting the farm through timely payments, timely and clear communications with the farmer, and timely and gustatory enjoyment of the fresh produce received in the CSA. I understand that any week I don’t pick up my share, my food will be donated to a local pantry when possible, or will be returned to the earth to compost itself.
CSA members join with their farmer in both the risks of farming (crop failure, poor weather, bad traffic) and its benefits (a bountiful harvest season, cooking recommendations, direct relationship with the farmer, and the ability to come visit the farm). I understand that my share will vary from week to week, generally consisting of 4-10 different seasonal vegetables, and that there is no guarantee of the exact amount or contents of my share. The shares will vary in weight, size, and vegetables throughout the season.
By participating in this CSA, I, ___________, am bringing healthy, locally grown food to my home, supporting organic agriculture, supporting the development of sustainable local food systems, and engaging in the exciting flush of food that grows during our short growing season.
